Tips on Namco Classic Collection Vol.1
* Secret Message In Xevious : The programmer has included a trick for generating a message right at the beginning of the game. As soon as Solvalou appears, move to the far right edge of the screen and begin bombing constantly. Continue bombing until the first set of attacking rings is very close to you and then shoot the rings.
In original version / normal mode, the message 'Namco ORIGINAL Program by EVEZOO' will appear on the screen.
In original version / super mode, the message is 'Special thanks for you by game designer Evezoo'.
In arrangement version, the message is 'This game is dedicated to the original XEVIOUS staff'.
* Xevious Arrangement, Extra Area :
Extra Area 1 - Finish Area 16 without continue.
Extra Area 2 - Finish Extra Area 1 without death.
Extra Area 3 - Get 60 Sols.
* Xevious Arrangement, Maniac Mode : You will play with harder rank.
1. Get secret message in Area 1 forest. (Keep firing the Blaster at left end)
2. Take out 2 Sols in Area 1.
3. Get ''Secret Message'' in forest (see the first trick to perform it).
* Galaga Arrangement, Time Attack Mode : Input code Left, Right, Left, Right, Button1, Button2, Button1, Button 2 on galaga arrangement title screen.

NOTE:
- Namco Classics Collection Vol.1 contains Mappy, Xevious and Galaga.
Bugs:
- [possible] First byte in gfx rom is wrong. MASH (ID 04729)
WIP:
- 0.141u4: Further decoupled some driver files to help driver_device conversions [Atari Ace]: YGV608 is made independent of Namco ND-1 driver. Convert Namco ND-1 driver to driver_device.
- 0.136u4: Heihachi_73 changed description to 'Namco Classic Collection Vol.1'.
- 0.127u5: Fabio Priuli fixed unable to coin/start Namco ND-1 games.
- 0.123u1: Added 'Service Mode' dipswitch.
- 0.122u5: Atari Ace fixed a memory leak in video\ygv608.c (memleak0122u2ora).
- 1st April 2007: Mr. Do - My favorite out of the bunch of stuff from Vintage Arcade Superstore was the instruction card for Namco Classic Collection Vol. 1; just need to find the second one now.
- 0.106u7: Aaron Giles fixed a heavily flicker in NCV1 and NCV2 (vidhrdw\ygv608.c).
- 0.104u4: Adam Bousley added save states to Namco Classics Collection Vol.1
- 0.99u10: R. Belmont fixed missing sound in Namco Classics games.
- 0.99u9: Aaron Giles removed tilemap_dispose call and fixed the two drivers that were using it. This fixes improper save state registrations in megasys1 and namcond1/ygv608 games.
- 0.99u6: Changed description of clone '(Japan set 1)' to '(Japan, v1.00)' and '(Japan set 2)' to '(Japan, v1.03)'.
- 0.99u1: Cync fixed several problems in the H8/3002 core. Improves sound in Namco ND-1.
- 5th August 2005: R. Belmont - Got a nice present today from a coder who goes by Cync: a set of major bugfixes to the H8/3002 CPU core. As you know, this is the "sub-CPU" in many later Namco games. So what do the fixes do? They correct most of what was wrong with the sound and music in all of the ND-1 (NCV1/NCV2) and System 12 games. All the games involved now sound way better, and of course I've already backported the fixes to ZiNc so the music's better there too.
- 0.96u2: Swapped left/right sound channels.
- 0.86u3: Namco Classics Improvements [R. Belmont]. Added H8/3002 MCU and C352 sound chip. Both NCV1 and NCV2 are now fully playable with full sound and music. Added H8/3002 (16384000 Hz) CPU2 and C352 stereo sound.
- 2nd September 2004: R. Belmont - Fixed a bug in the H8/3002 CPU core. Got it on speaking terms with the 68000 on the Namco ND-1 hardware. Result: Namco Classics Collection volumes 1 and 2 are both fully playable with full sound and music.
- 29th June 2004: R. Belmont - Started cleaning up ZiNc's H8/3002 core for MAME submission (this will add sound and fix protection on Namco Classics 1 & 2 and the System 12 games*). Fixed some flag calculations on the ADD opcodes and some "edge cases" on the C352 to improve music in NCV1/2. Still need to fix some issues with the controls in Aqua Rush and Paca Paca.
- 0.70u5: Guru improved NCV1 filenames. Added missing 2MB sound1 rom.
- 0.67: Changed parent and clone descriptions to 'Namco Classics Collection Vol.1'.
- 0.62: CusKey simulation for Namco games [John Wil].
- 0.60: Fixed Namco Classics Vol.1 crashes after you insert a coin.
- 0.53: Changed visible area to 224x288 and added 2MB fake sound1 rom.
- 16th July 2001: Mark McDougall optimized the Namco ND-1 driver.
- 0.37b16: Mark McDougall added Namco Classics Vol.1 (Namco 1995) and clones (Japan set 1) and (Japan set 2).
- 8th June 2001: Mark McDougall sent in his Namco Classics Vol.1 driver, which lacks some graphical effects and sound.
