WIP:
- 0.141u4: ROM banking cleanup [Alex Jackson]: Added a device address map for the OKI in clone FixEight (Korea, bootleg) and stopped misusing the bank system for memory that isn't actually bankswitched. Changed VSync to 59.410646 Hz.
- 0.141u1: Added clones FixEight (Europe, Taito license), (Hong Kong), (Hong Kong, Taito license), (Japan), (Japan, Taito license), (Korea), (Korea, Taito license), (Southeast Asia), (Southeast Asia, Taito license), (Taiwan), (Taiwan, Taito license), (USA) and (USA, Taito license). Roberto Zandona added several opcodes to FixEight (Europe). Alex Jackson found a few more FixEight (Europe) opcodes, by matching code in the interrupt routines with Batsugun. Alex Jackson corrected FixEight V25 address map (the YM2151 and OKI6295 are at a different location than the other games). Decrypted all used opcodes and added EEPROMS for all countries; now the sound works [Andrew Jackson, David Haywood, Roberto Zandona]. David Haywood hooked up EEPROM and cleaned up the inputport for FixEight (no dips). Changed parent description to 'FixEight (Europe)' and clone 'FixEight (bootleg)' to 'FixEight (Korea, bootleg)'. Renamed (fixeightb) to (fixeightbl). Added NVRAM fixeight.nv.
- 22nd January 2011: Roberto Zandona - It required a lot more work is in the process of decoding the opcode without the presence of references in other games (kbash, dogyuun, and vfife batsugun) and for the presence of an EEPROM. In the end, thanks to the joint work of myself, Haze in AWJ, we were able to implement the sound. The result so far has been the need to create a clone of the game for each supported country (I'm 14). This is because 'the EEPROM for each game is different and although generated by the code of the game, you can not activate that code without soldering in PCB (this is the lack of DSWs and Jumpers). In the event that through the values in the EEPROM is possible to vary other parameters of the game over the country, the implementation is incorrect. If there would be two alternatives: add dump of EEPROM that you can be sure of its presence in the arcade, or implement some system that can reprogram the EEPROM (for example, simulating the presence of jumpers on PCB). We'll see. For now be satisfied with the sound.
- 0.139u2: David Haywood fixed FixEight (bootleg) graphic glitches.
- 0.135u1: David Haywood cleaned up Toaplan2 V25 support. Added V25 (16 MHz) CPU2.
- 0.133u1: Renamed (fixeighb) to (fixeightb).
- 0.127u2: Brian Troha moved FixEight bootleg PCB layout down by the roms like the other layouts in the driver.
- 0.122u5: Corrado Tomaselli verified/corrected frequencies and OKI6295 pin 7 in FixEight. Changed VSync to 59Hz.
- 0.113u2: Changed VSync to 59.410646 Hz.
- 0.112: Stephane Humbert fixed Toaplan 2 driver to add controls for player 3 in FixEight (main set still remains unplayable).
- 0.105u4: Fixed input in FixEight and clone. Removed 'Flip Screen' dipswitch in clone FixEight (bootleg).
- 0.88: Quench fixed OKI banking in FixEight bootleg. Changed MSM6295 clock speed to 7575 Hz in FixEight. Changed 68000 CPU1 clock speed to 10MHz in FixEight (bootleg), MSM6295 to 5303 Hz and VSync to 60Hz.
- 0.87u2: Tomasz Slanina added clone FixEight (bootleg). Turn on invunerability dipswitch to see an intro!
- 27th September 2004: Guru - A very interesting Fix Eight bootleg arrived from eBay.
- 0.74u2: Added FixEight (Toaplan 1992).
- 0.36RC1: Quench added FixEight (Testdriver). Not working. Sound MCU (type unknown) dump is missing.
