PuLiRuLa (World)
PuLiRuLa is a six-level, sideways scrolling beat-em-up for 1 or 2 players that defies any logic in either its theme or its graphical approach; that places the players in a dream-like world populated by armies of strange and bizarre creatures.
PuLiRuLa's plot centres around the world of 'Radishland'. Each of Radishland's six towns is kept running smoothly with the aid of a giant key, which is necessary to keep the world's 'time-flow' moving. The key is stolen by a mysterious enemy and the timeflow is disrupted. Players must fight their way through waves of increasingly abstract enemies in their quest to recover the key and restore time to Radishland.
To aid players in their quest, they are each armed with a magical stick, with which they can hit and defeat the game's abstract enemies. Players are also armed with a limited number of smart bombs, capable of killing multiple enemies. The smart bombs are as visually unique as the rest of the game; taking the form of such things as a herd of running animals, a purple dancing blob-like man or a man in a giant microwave oven who captures and cooks any on-screen enemies. When killed, the enemies disappear and an animal or townsperson is released from inside the creature.

Bugs:
- On the PCB the shadows of all the sprites are waving instead of being fixed like MAME. Kold666 (ID 00207)
WIP:
- 0.143u3: Changed 'Unknown' to 'Unused' dipswitches.
- 0.130u4: Renamed (pulirulj) to (pulirulaj).
- 0.98u1: Bryan McPhail fixed one of the TC360 sprite blending modes (used in Pulirula round 2 and Liquid Kids attract mode).
- 0.89u1: Bryan McPhail added TC0360PRI blending modes to the games with rotation layers. This includes Pulirula & Liquid Kids. One of the blending modes is new to these games (not used in Gun Frontier) and I have no way to verify it's actually correct - someone with a working board will need to verify (Liquid Kids: Fish going in water in attract mode, Pulirula: Crystals on level 2).
- 0.37b11: Added dipswitches 'Difficulty', 'Magic', 'Lives' and 'Pair Play'.
- 0.37b5: David Graves added PuLiRuLa (World) (Taito 1991) and clone (Japan).
- 19th July 2000: David Graves sent in a huge Taito F2 driver update with working drivers for Gun Frontier, Ah Eikou no Koshien, Thunder Fox, The Ninja Kids, Solitary Fighter, Dino Rex, Quiz Chikyu Bouei Gun, Quiz Torimonochou, Quiz HQ, Yuuyu no Quiz de GO!GO!, Mahjong Quest, Quiz Quest, Don Doko Don, PuLiRuLa, Dead Connection and Football Champ.
- 0.37b3: Added PuLiRuLa (Testdriver).
STORY:
- There is a wonderland called "Radishland". In each town, under a keeper's control, the time flow was correctly kept with a time key. But, a bad man appeared and stole the time key to stop the time flow. The towns were attacked one by one, the time flow was stopped and they received damage. An old man was impressed with a sense of danger and he called Zac and Mel. And he entrusted them with his invented magic stick in order to defend their town.
