Bugs:
- nslasher, nslasherj, nslashers: Alpha blending for message windows is missing. Jerry (ID 03708)
WIP:
- 0.141u4: David Haywood converted Night Slashers to use DECO16IC.
- 0.133u1: Renamed (nslashej) to (nslasherj) and (nslashes) to (nslashers).
- 0.129u3: Mamesick fixed music stops at some points in the game when fighting bosses and some points in level 2.
- 0.111u6: Sonikos fixed YM2151 sound clock frequency to 2013750 Hz in Night Slashers.
- 0.111u2: Aaron Giles properly implemented sound interrupts in Night Slashers. Improved cycle timings in the ARM CPU core. Altered the DECO32 CPU clocks to be more realistic. Changed ARM CPU1 clock speed to 7080500 Hz and Z80 CPU2 to 3580000 Hz.
- 0.105u4: Stefan Lindberg added clone Night Slashers (Over Sea Rev 1.2).
- 0.103u3: MAME Italia improved sound balance in Night Slashers. Changed Z80 CPU2 clock speed to 7MHz and YM2151 to 2013750 Hz.
- 12th January 2006: David Haywood - Some sound problems were reported in Night Slashers, I've attempted to improve this but I'm not a very good judge of sound.
- 0.103u2: Tomasz Slanina added sound to Night Slashers. Changed Z80 CPU2 clock speed to 4MHz.
- 0.103u1: Bryan McPhail and Pierpaolo Prazzoli fixed the DECO 32 driver. Night Slashers pretty much perfect apart from lack of sound - Game now playable. Changed parent description to 'Night Slashers (Korea Rev 1.3)' and clone '(Japan)' to 'Night Slashers (Japan Rev 1.2)'. Replaced M6809 CPU2 and BSMT2000 sound with Z80 (7Mhz) CPU2, YM2151 (3580000 Hz), OKI6295 (7627 Hz) and OKI6295 (15255 Hz) sound. Fixed gfx3 rom loading.
- 31st December 2005: Bryan McPhail - Due to pressing deadlines in 'real' work, this took somewhat longer than I thought to finish off. Unfortunately, although all Deco156 games now boot in MAME, only Night Slashers and Heavy Smash are properly playable. All the other games make use of a math co-processor which is not yet understood. Of the broken games Skull Fang works the most - the attract mode is fully correct, and it's playable up to the first boss. The other games mostly have serious gameplay errors (eg, AI players do not respond correctly in Hoops). Sound is also bust in all of the new games.
- 16th September 2005: Bryan McPhail - Very little time to work on MAME recently, but I should finish off Night Slashers soon... Unfortunately all of the remaining unemulated Deco 156 CPU games (Hoops, Backfire, etc) are protected. It can probably be cracked given enough time though.
- 0.98u1: Corrado Tomaselli added clone Night Slashers (Japan).
- 16th July 2005: Corrado Tomaselli dumped Night Slashers (Japan Rev 1.2).
- 29th November 2004: Guru - A few days ago I got hold of and dumped another Night Slashers PCB which turned out to be a different version (Japan version). Not particularly useful, but anyway.
- 0.74u2: Added Night Slashers (Data East 1994).
- 0.67: Added Night Slashers (Testdriver).
- 23rd July 2001: Guru - Arrived and dumped the rare Night Slashers (Data East 1993) PCB. Thanks to Bruce G. for the donation.
