Twin Eagle II - The Rescue Mission

Arcade 1994 Seta Shooter Flying Vertical
Twin Eagle II is a vertical scrolling shooter where one or two players pilot heavily armed helicopters through three stages with three areas each.

At the start of each stage, the players select their path of attack through the three areas. Areas with ground level enemies and targets are presented in a 3/4 isometric view, while areas with no ground targets feature scrolling landscape images. Players use their guns to attack flying enemy aircraft and bombs to attack ground targets such as tanks, rocket launchers and high-rise skyscrapers. If things get too hairy, the player can use a missile barrage to clear the screen of enemies and enemy firepower. Destroying some buildings reveal primary colored trucks which drop weapon power-ups and point items when destroyed. Each area features a boss at the end, which must be destroyed to advance past the area. The final stage features one additional boss before the end of the game.

WIP:
- 0.141u2: Added uPD96050 (10MHz) CPU2 and rom st010.bin (68 kb).
- 0.141u1: Tafoid fixed some input issues in Twin Eagle II.
- 0.139u3: Roberto Zandona fixed missing graphic effect in Twin Eagle II's screen transitions. Corrado Tomaselli confirmed visible area register with a Twin Eagle II PCB.
- 26th July 2008: Mr. Do - Funny story. Tormod sent me a BUNCH of instruction cards a long time ago. You've probably been seeing them added in every so often. Well, around July of last year, I had completed a whole bunch of them, but then had a computer crash, and they ended up on the "spare" hard drive by mistake. I found them again going through a cleanup. So thanks to Tormod, this week we have Twin Eagle II.
- 0.121u4: Fixed rom names.
- 0.108u3: Roberto Zandona improved offsets of the "normal spites" in the SSV game Twin Eagle II.
- 0.81u7: Olivier Galibert cleaned up the SSV driver, added DSP emulation and makes Twin Eagle II playable.
- 18th April 2004: Olivier Galibert emulated the DSP in the SSV system, which is used by Drift Out '94 and Twin Eagle 2. David Haywood fixed the sprite placement in Twin Eagle 2.
- 0.73: Tomasz Slanina added Twin Eagle II - The Rescue Mission (Seta 1994). Game does not work due to protection involving the directions in which objects travel, and as a side-effect collisions don't work correctly either, if somebody fixes this then itmight be fine apart from a few offset problems.
- 29th August 2003: Tomasz Slanina fixed the interrupts and register layout in the V60 CPU core, making Ultra X Weapons run (with graphics glitches) along with Twin Eagle 2 (unplayable due to unemulated protection).
- 28th January 2003: Brian Troha fixed the dipswitch settings in Twin Eagle 2, though it still doesn't work.
- 0.57: Luca Elia added Twin Eagle II - The Rescue Mission (Testdriver).
- 2nd December 2001: Luca Elia sent in a driver for SSV games, including Dramatic Adventure Quiz Keith & Lucy, Drift Out '94, Gourmet Battle Quiz Ryorioh CooKing, Mahjong Hyper Reaction 2, Monster Slider and Survival Arts. Twin Eagle II, Mahjong Hyper Reaction, Super Real Mahjong PIV and Super Real Mahjong P7 don't work due to V60 CPU core bugs.
