Crazy Balloon (set 2)

Arcade 1980 Taito Corporation Maze
A game of strategy and skill! The object of Crazy Balloon is to guide a delicate swaying balloon through a maze of pin wheel obstacles.

You have 4 control buttons and you have the ability to move your balloon in any direction. Don't take too long, because if you are too slow, a bogey man erupts on the screen and forces you to move. Just when you think you have the maze all figured out, pin wheels attack your balloon forcing you to take evasive action.

0.33b4 [Nicola Salmoria]

WIP:
- 0.140u1: Derrick Renaud optimized speed of DISCRETE_DAC_R1.
- 0.133u1: Renamed (crbalon2) to (crbaloon2).
- 0.122u8: Changed palettesize to 32 colors.
- 0.122u6: Cleaned up Crazy Balloon driver [Zsolt Vasvari]: Proper memory maps, crystals etc. Implemented the missing features of the collision detector custom IC. This fixed a moving thorns disappear (after 2nd stage) after your balloon collided with them. Changed Z80 CPU1 clock speed to 3329000 Hz. Removed 2nd coin slot and flags dispose from region gfx2.
- 0.111u6: Rewrote the SN76477 emulator from scratch. The main difference between the old one and the new one is that it is based on measurements from a real chip. Also the emulator is fully analog, meaning that timings/frequencies, etc. are based on voltage levels. This gives a much more true-to-life emulation where the weird behavior of the real chip comes emulated for free. The code itself is also a lot simpler and more understandable [Zsolt Vasvari, Derrick Renaud].
- 0.104u4: Adam Bousley added save state support to Crazy Balloon.
- 0.103u3: Derrick Renaud converted Crazy Balloon sound to use the discrete system. Replaced Custom sound with Discrete.
- 0.88: Added music support in Crazy Balloon (thanks to MAME32Plus). Added Custom sound.
- 0.36RC1: Added SN76477 sound.
- 14th February 2000: Juergen Buchmueller fixed some bugs in the SN76477 sound core, and added support for it to Crazy Balloon.
- 26th November 1999: Zsolt Vasvari fixed the collision detection in Crazy Balloon.
- 0.34RC1: Howie Cohen added high score saving to Crazy Balloon.
- 0.33b7: Changed description to 'Crazy Balloon (set 1)' and clone to '(set 2)'.
- 0.33b5: Mike Balfour added collision detection to Crazy Balloon.
- 0.33b4: Nicola Salmoria added Crazy Balloon (Taito 1980) and clone (alternate). Known issues: Collision detection is not emulated. Press SPACE to die. Don't cheat.
- 14th February 1998: J-ROM dumped Crazy Balloon (set 1) (c)1980 TAITO.
