WIP:
- 0.133u1: Renamed (champbbj) to (champbasj) and (champbja) to (champbasja).
- 0.126u1: Nicola Salmoria fixed Game resets itself in the middle of test process in clone (Japan set 1).
- 0.123u6: Nicola Salmoria merged talbot with champbas, some driver cleanup, fixed Champion Base Ball inputs and fixed Alpha 8201/830x MCU simulation. Added ALPHA-8201 cpu3 rom ($0) to clone (Japan set 1). Removed button 4.
- 0.122u8: Zsolt Vasvari removed colortables from Champion Base Ball and a number of other drivers, as part of a larger move to phase out old-style colortables. Removed color PROM. Now uses TRANSPARENCY_PENS instead of TRANSPARENCY_COLOR. Hooked up palette bank selector from schematics, though I am not sure if it is actually used by the code. Changed set names to match title screen, which is why baseball is spelt as "Base Ball". Changed description to 'Champion Base Ball' and clone 'Champion Baseball II (set 1)' to 'Champion Base Ball Part-2: Pair Play (set 1)'. Changed palettesize to 512 colors.
- 8th October 2007: Mr. Do - Mrclean had a nice suggestion: let's do a "theme" release like we did last October. So, in honor of the Yankees choking this year, along with a few other teams (*sigh*), we have Champion Baseball, which I picked up some months ago. Play ball!
- 0.104u8: Tatsuyuki Satoh added emulation of the Alpha 8201/8301 MCU and connected it to clones (Japan set 1/2) - Games now playable. Changed AY8910 clock speed to 1536000 Hz. Added ALPHA-8201 (384000 HZ) CPU3 to clones (Japan set 1/2).
- 0.78: Stefan Jokisch added clone Champion Baseball (Japan set 2). This is a patched version of champbbj with different protection. Changed description of clone '(Japan)' to '(Japan set 1)'.
- 22nd December 2003: Stefan Jokisch added another ROM set to the Champion Baseball driver.
- 0.57: Fixed MAMETesters bug champbas056gre.
- 0.37b3: Added clone Champion Baseball (Japan).
- 13th August 1999: Dumped Champion Base Ball (Japan set 2).
- 0.34b7: Nicola Salmoria fixed bad graphics in Champion Baseball.
- 0.34b5: Howie Cohen added high score saving to Champion Baseball.
- 0.34b1: Added color proms ($0, 20).
- 0.33b2: Nicola Salmoria added speech and fixed invisible ball in Champion Baseball. Some of the graphics are still broken. The reason is unknown.
- 0.29: Nicola Salmoria added a preliminary driver for Champion Baseball (Sega 1983).
- 27th September 1997: Dumped Champion Base Ball.
