Boxing Mania (ver JAA)
Based on the 1970's anime Ashita no Joe, players take on the role of Joe Yabuki in the ring against his toughest rivals. Players jab, swing, and punch at the four targets that swing out from the left and right side of the cabinet in order to land blows against their opponent. Taking cues from the onscreen action players dodge attacks by ducking away from the cabinet. When knocked to the mat players must hit the bar near the bottom of the screen repeatedly to get back up. And when the opportunity arises, players are prompted to deliver an uppercut to the flashing face-shaped target at the top of the cabinet, often delivering a knock-out punch to finish the match.

WIP:
- 4th June 2011: Ville Linde - I have been implementing a lot more features of the Viper hardware. More specifically; the I2C interface and global timers on the MPC8240 and the DS2430 EEPROM.
- 29th May 2011: Ville Linde - Last time I looked at the Konami Viper driver, it was stuck on unemulated Voodoo 3 functionality (User Interrupt Command). Now that I have implemented that and hacked in some additional Voodoo 3 support (mainly 2D host-to-screen blitting), we get some pretty POST screens from Police 911, Boxing Mania and Mocap Boxing.
- 0.132u5: Changed description to 'Boxing Mania (ver JAA)'. Guru and Angelo Salese redumped Konami Viper CF and NVRAM for all games and updated drivers.
- 0.114u1: Ville Linde added Boxing Mania (Konami 2001).
- 11th March 2006: Guru - I just picked up lots of juicy stuff from my local post office like the Viper game Boxing Mania (Konami, 2001, Viper h/w). Thanks to Bobaruni.
