Short Order / Eggsplode! (USA)
Short Order / Eggsplode! is a ROM cartridge published in 1989 by Nintendo of America for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). The cartridge features two distinct video games that a player may choose from alternating title screens. The Japanese game development company Tose developed both games.
Short Order / Eggsplode! is one of six NES software releases developed for the Power Pad input device.
In Short Order, the player is a short-order cook who must assemble a hamburger sandwich for a customer, placing ingredients in a specified sequence before the time limit. Each ingredient corresponds to two push-buttons on the Power Pad.
The scene of Eggsplode! is a hen house, in which two foxes place bombs in the nest boxes of the hens. The player must neutralize the bombs before they explode. Each nest box corresponds to one of the 12 push-buttons on the Power Pad. The pace of the game increases after the completion of each game level.
